about
I wrote this in a vicious rain storm, it was pouring outside and I couldn't hold myself back so ran out into the torrential downpour. It was simultaneously Hellish and Beautiful and so powerful. The lyrics to the tune duck and dive all over the place through relationship, religion and everything between. Ultimately though it's about turning the deepest pain into the most glorious Bliss.
lyrics
Rain
Shark Fin Soup
Shark Fin Soup
Let the poison do you good, good, good
Shark Fin Soup
Let the poison do you good, good, good
Jet black eyes roll over white
It's hard to know who's taking the bite
Gagged and bound is where you'll be found
Free'd like a lightning bolt as the thunder pounds
How long can you last
For the beauty off the beaten path
Shark Fin Soup
Let the poison do you good, good, good
Shark Fin Soup
Let the poison do you good, good, good
Love her head, ever changing hue
she's off to the promised land with somebody new
Hit me, Hit me
Serve and be served, Shepherd with no herd
Come the stranger from the sun, laugh until it hurts
How long can you last
For the beauty off the beaten path
Shark Fin Soup
Let the poison do you good, good, good
Rain she came, one million facelifts
Not one the same
Rain
Shark Fin Soup
Shark Fin Soup
Let the poison do you good, good, good
Shark Fin Soup
Let the poison do you good, good, good
Shark Fin Soup
Let the poison do you good, good, good
