While Moon Spell definitely pays tribute to the struggles all of us have faced due to the world wide Covid pandemic and the overwhelming feeling of isolation and separation. the song itself eludes to a much deeper identity related 'Spell' that the world might possibly be under, and encourages a mass awakening.

A side note regarding the song,.. I wanted an ancient feel about it, especially the intro so I went to a Japanese community center here in Toronto where once a year they have a big show with a variety of Japanese performers. I watched about 20 singers and approached 2 of the oldest possible ones and asked if they would sing on my song. They both said yes and I tried each one separately choosing to go with the one you hear on the track. I also wanted that 'ancient/timeless' vibe in the middle section and found out that there was a local choir group of elderly Japanese woman so I contacted their conductor and arranged to have them sing on the song too.
