about

I was about to plug in my guitar one day in the studio and my finger bumped the cable and made that classic guitar buzz sound. Immediately I went and pressed record and started playing the opening to "Code." As is usually the case, the rest of the song came out incredibly fast. Since this was a more simple song when it came to orchestration I just played all the instruments and had it in the can swiftly. When I first started playing that sort of morse code intro with the guitar cable my mind was thinking about reaching out to a girl who didn't return my phone call, but as I continued the vibe went someplace much deeper.

lyrics

Come On, Come On
Without you this house ain't a home

With a kiss we'll light the spark
We'll go glowing in the dark
No one will ever know

Come On, Come On

Ours is a vacant throne
Do yourself in and your home

She told me to tell you one thing
Then sealed my lips in brilliant gold
The joke around us just keeps running
The skeleton girl will never grow old
The skeleton girl will never grow old

Ours is a vacant throne
Do yourself in and your home

Now that you've become a star
And the brightest one by far
No one will ever know

Come On, Come On
To the place where all belong
